So i plug my digital usb camera into 1 of the usb ports. i get a pop-up labeled 'Camera Import'. The pop-up itself says:
'A camera has been detected.
There are photos on the camera. Would you like to add these pictures to your album?'
And i have 2 options; Ignore or Import. So i click import, and the box goes away. and NOTHING happens. lol.
where r the pictures going? r they even importing?

BTW, if it matters... I'm using Debian 4.0(Etch)
Majusiak,
I too, am using Debian Etch (64-bit even) and was experiencing the same thin. I searched gphoto2 in Synaptic and added a couple of programs, "gphoto2" and "gthumb" and now when I choose to import, it brings up another program to actually choose what to import, etc. It's not the best software I have used (was using gtkam before), but at least it's automatic. Hopefully this helps.
