Sometimes my usb phone works in SUSE 10.1, sometimes it doesn't!

I've a VoIp USB phone which I use with Skype in SUSE 10.1. Sometimes it works fine, but then randomly it will stop working and I get a message saying 'problem with sound device'.

My PC is an athlon 1.4, and I'm not sure about the motherboard. I tried to get it from the bios and found VT8366 8233. I think this might be it but not sure!

Thanks for any suggestions

Xenny
