Serious problem with my GFX Card on redhat 9.0

recently i purchased redhat 9 and am very impressed with
its server capabilities and coming from a windows background
i am impressed with its configurability, now although i am
not planning on running many games on it, i would like to
have the option of being able to do so.

Now i am currently having a massive problem with my GFX card
i have a geforce 3 and it has detected it fine (generic)
however i am unable to enable hardware acceleration (WTF!?)

does anyone know why it is doing this? when i play a game,
even the simple ones that you get with RedHat, it runs very
choppy (about 3 fps or something) i also have win 98, 2000
and xp and run games at 100fps easily on these, i believe
the problem is with the hardware acceleration not being
enabled, i would like to know why i am not given the option
to be enable it

Thanks in advance
Mal

that's easy, just go to http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=linux_display_ia32_1.0-4363 and download their latest drivers for linux (NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4363.run)!
just follow the readme file, the installation is much easier than prior versions!
i also have a GeForce3, and i play UT2003 & it actually runs better than windows

Thank you very much

I was starting to get really worred

also, if i can be cheeky for one moment, i have heard that wineX 3.0 has problems running under RH 9.0 because of some special kernel RH9 runs under or something to that effect, i was just wondering whether or not anyone has got it to run under RH9 and if they did , did they do anything special to be able to do it

Thank You
Mal
