what linux will help ???

hi,

i'm new to linux, will help me ? i was trying to install FC-3 on my sata drive but FC-3 havn't fails to detect hard drive. my hard drive is working fine as i'm running windows XP on the same machine. my system configuration are
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.66GHz
Intel Desktop Board D915LVG
SAMSUNG HD080HJ - 80 GB, Sata2
512 MB RAM
Please help me as soon as possible !

try a newer distro like FC5 or Ubuntu breezy/dapper or Debian Linux
