Screencaster -- audio loss

In using the screencaster I'm experiencing audio loss.

what seems to be happening is that, during the screencast, some of the audio blocks are lost or garbeled

the result is the audio track ends before the video is complete -- and
the audio gradually gets behind the video

this is also evident using ACDSee's recorder in MSFT/W10 ( same box )

I'm thinking putting a good video card in the box might cure the problem by taking much of the load off the CPU -- which currently runs using intergated graphics --

( Athalon 4+8 type CPU ) -- has 4 computer cores + 8 video cores --

thoughts ? ( anyone )

Sounds like performance issues.
Does it work better when you record only a small section of the screen?

of course the app I'm trying to record doesn't work as well...

i'm probably just gonna stuff a graphics card in and see if that helps

OK, so performance issues.
Is your current screen recorder configured to transcode on the fly? Maybe you need to change that, make it record raw video instead. play with the settings.

Is that a separate problem? Don't quite see the context here.

Only if your screen recorder can utilize it for encoding. If not it's a question of CPU.

Have you tried using ffmpeg?
Have a look here.
