first of all i want to know what causes this:

Quote:
root@makkintosh:/hd/info/printing/cndrvcups-capt-1.00/statusui# ./autogen.sh

**Error**: You must have `automake' installed.
Get ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/automake-1.3.tar.gz
(or a newer version if it is available)
root@makkintosh:/hd/info/printing/cndrvcups-capt-1.00/statusui#
i've installed latest version of automake
and why it says that i haven't?! if anybody knows the answer .. please post reply

Quote:
root@makkintosh:/hd/info/printing/cndrvcups-capt-1.00/statusui# ./configure
./configure: line 1297: syntax error near unexpected token `captstatusui,'
./configure: line 1297: `AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE(captstatusui, 0.1)'
root@makkintosh:/hd/info/printing/cndrvcups-capt-1.00/statusui#
