Printersupport with HPLIP for Officejet Pro 9022e

Hi,

i am about to buy a new printer (multifunction) because the old one broke.

I found the HP Officejet 9022e

In HPLIP there is support for the 9020.

The main use from Kubuntu 22.04 is printing with different fonts and some graphics.
Most are short Instructions with screenshots or black and white spreadsheets for the taxes.

I used my old 8610 over the webinterface for scanning papers.

My question is the following, if i select the HPLIP-driver for the 9020 will i be able to have the basic
functionality, preferably with duplexprinting.

When i bought my 8610 for about 8 years i had the 8600 selected in HPLIP and that worked out fine.

Is it still so that the last number in this case the last 2 in 9022 means that some extra features have been build in.

I would be gratefull for any hint, changing printer is something i do not do much.
The question is also put with HP but it is weekend . . . .

Regards,
Jan

The 9022e is supported by IPP everywhere so it should be automatically detected and configured. I always connect my printers via the network but USB should work as well. Eventually with cups version 3.0 or so drivers will no longer be supported.

According to the documentation it should work. I have a HP 4001dn and it was automatically configured without needing hplip.
