Printer installation problem


after adding printer in RHEL 4.0 ,it is not giving proper print out,it printing only file information

That's probably due to a problem. However, with no further information such as what printer you are using, how you set it up and what error messages turn up, if any, no-one can give you any more conclusive answer than that.

Could you be more specific

What is the printer brand and type?
what type of connection are you using (usb, parallel, network)?
what driver are you using?
