SuSE 9.0 may not include the driver for this chipset. You could try commands 'modprobe saa7134' followed by 'lsmod' to make sure. If not you can try to install the driver - home page and instructions at:
http://bytesex.org/saa7134/
or alternatively upgrade to a 2.6 kernel, which includes the driver. If you want to try a 2.6 kernel without touching your current setup, and have some download bandwidth, a new Knoppix live CD should be out in few days.
