making gumstix a wifi hotspot

Hello all,

I'm having a gumstix overo air board with 2.6.34 kernel installed. I have activated wifi in my module and it's successfully connected to an external network using a static IP address. I'm connecting to the gumstix board using SSH from my computer. Now I need to make my gumstix itself a hotspot (Access point) so that I can directly connect to the overo board without the need of a network. Can somebody guide me how to make a gumstix overo air a wifi hotspot please.

Thanks for your time.

Thilina

Dear michaelk,

Thanks for your guidance. I had not think about the ad-hoc networks and it worked perfectly.
