Question LTSP terminal working too slow

Hi,
First to introduce my system :

I have LTSP 2.1.1 on RH 7.3 work on dual P3/1GHz machine with GB of ram
therefore i have thin client with P1/200MMX MHz with 96MB of ram and ee100PRO ethernet card and ATI Mach64 video card.

My problem is here:
Server working fast and beutiful.
But client KDE3 desktop is so slow so I must wait on mouse move for a seconds. I already turn off all sound and animating that use processor's time and nothing better. On the net I read that TC can work on 486 but I thin only with shell. Because I'm limited on hardware I have I can't test LTSP with faster client.

Do you thing the terminal should work faster or should I have faster processor?
If the problem is Server config, pls give me a hint where to look for my problem.

Thanks a lot and best regards.

Linux fan :-) Footpritn

Hardware? Probably not....

I just got completed with an initial test, hardware as follows:
Server
PII 500 mhz
only 128 megs of ram
100 base T network card

Client
Pentium 200 mhz
64 megs of ram
Linksys LNE100TX V5.1 100Base T

And my results were fine with the gui, and were no slow downs at all. ( I was using Gnome, but im sure that makes no diffrence).
I was just running a crossover cable for my test.

So i would doubt that it is your clients hardware, but as i said this is my first time doing this and I am just a novice. My guess would be your network maybe actually running at 10mbps rather then 100mbps. But thats just a guess.

Hope this helps. :-)
