Linux friendly video cards

I'm looking to upgrade the video card in my PC, and then install Linux after that (either Ubuntu or FC4). I then plan on having that computer hooked up to a 52" HDTV that has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080. What would be a good video card for me to get that will run that kind of resolution and works well with Linux?

You'll probably find that most of the current generation nVidia cards will do that OK and have an easy Linux driver installation.

The minimal nVidia series is GeForce6 for decent graphics quality.
