LG Gram 2021 Fingerprint Sensor

Hi all! I've been running Arch on my LG Gram 2021, and it's been lovely. The one device that the internet says has no drivers, (and I've found to be true) is the fingerprint sensor, which I've really enjoyed in Windows. I was wondering if it's worth my time to try and hack-around with drivers for similar (but different) fingerprint sensors from Goodix, which have been in Dell's developer editions of the XPS, and hence have linux support. Also, if someone knowledgeable in hardware debugging would like to help me with this, I'd be happy to compensate.
