KDS VS-195e -- Black lines on screen?

I was having problems getting my resolution up past 800x600. I resolved that issue by changing the default depth to 16 in XF86Config. However, when I use depth=16, independent of the resolution, I get little, horizontal black lines every millimeter or so on my screen. They are fairly non-instrusive, but after 20 minutes use (give or take five minutes), I get a horrible headache from them and my eyes will begin to burn if I continue with the lines on screen. I've switched back to depth=24 now, but I'm kinda sick of using 800x600. Under windows on the same hardware, I'm able to achieve 1024x768 or higher without a problem.

adrohak; u r description appears to be from horizontal section within monitor. that horizontal bar indicates a 60hz frequency, abberent of a capacitor leak. may not see it at those higher frequencies but they do remain till that capacitor is replaced. within monitor pc card.

Adrohak - please post the contents of your XF86Config file. It may simply be a matter of an incorrect or missing parameter somewhere. -- J.W.
