Intel Driver Problems (82865G)


I have a conectiva linux installed (kernel 2.4.x), but i cant get the drivers to work right.. the computer is a DELL with intel board with 82865G video onboard..

i got the drivers from the intel site, they should have worked, but it doenst.. they have tested only with Red Hat..


where can i get a fix, drivers or something to get this working?

We need to know the exact kernel and the error message your getting, without this info we'd just be guessing.

i got the new Xfree and now at least the driver is working but i cant get more than 8bits of color depth..

when i set to 24 or 16 i get : No Screens Found

Have a look at your XF86Config-4, there probably are not any entries for 16 and 24bit.

i have entries for 24 and 16 bits but it doenst work =/


anyone have other ideias please??? =((

search all forums for 536ep and look for my name heading a recent thread. I've got as far as getting the modem to dialup and even surf for a while.

I wonder if there are utilities which specifically support HaM modems? Kernel support for HaM modems? Who would one ask?
