Intel Centrino compatibility with Red Hat Linux 9

Hello All,

I am looking at buying a new laptop with an Intel Pentium M 735 processor. Along with that I am getting intel wireless pro 2200 b/g. I just wanted to know if Red Hat linux 9 will support the centrino technology? In other words, will I be able to connect to a wireless network while operating red hat linux 9. Thanks for your help.

yes the wireless card will work.
however the energy-saving part wouldn't work. it's simply because 2.4.x kernel doesn't support it or you can get fedora 2.
go to
http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/
to look for the driver
