Installing a driver for an internal wifi card

I'm running redhat 9 on a dell 5100 laptop and I'm trying to install the driver for its internal wifi card, made by broadcom. I downloaded the driver from the broadcom site. Then when I type:

rpm -ivh bcm4400-3.0.7-1.src.rpm

I get:

error: cannot create %sourcedir /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES

What does this mean? What can I do to solve the problem? Any info about this problem or how to install any other type of wifi device on a redhat 9 laptop would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Source RPM

It Looks like you are trying to install a source RPM rather then the binaries. This will install the source code. If this is what you are trying to do maybe try to create the dircectory /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES yourself and make sure you have perms set to allow you to write to it.
