Installed Kubuntu 7.10 on a laptop, onboard wifi device not functioning.
Greetings again, gurus.
I dropped linux on my girlfriend's ailing Compaq laptop (highly successfully), and the only snag left is that her wifi card isn't working. Ethernet works fine, as it rightly should, but I honestly have no idea how to get the wireless up. Trying to bring it up via the system settings gui isn't working, using either of the protocols provided (and I have no idea what either of them are, really.) Any pointers would be greatly apreciated.
