how do I get tv out working? with ATI card
Hi all
I am trying to get tv out working
The video card is a saphire 9200
I have just changeed over from fedora core 1 to core 2
The tv out worked fine in core 1 but now all I get is what seems to be a condesded screen (about 1/5 of the screen) and is scrolling up.
I changed to core 2 so I could get the 2.6 kernel which was suggested so that I could use my DC10+
video capture card.
So I would appreciate help in getting it working.
I have tried both 800*600 and 1024*768 resolution
also the "atitvout pal auto" command
the documentation makes very little sense to me as I am not a programer
[root@localhost root]# atitvout detect
CRT is attached.
TV is attached via Composite.
[root@localhost root]# atitvout active
CRT is active.
TV is active.
[root@localhost root]# atitvout tvout
VBE call failed.
Maybe this command is not supported by your graphics adapter?
Did your parameters (if you specified some) really make sense?
Please try all other available commands before complaining!
[root@localhost root]# atitvout standard
Can set on the fly:
ntsc
pal
Current standard is PAL.
[root@localhost root]# atitvout c,t
Unknown command: c,t
[root@localhost root]# atitvout vbe
VBE Version: 2.0
VBE OEM Identification: ATI RADEON 9200
Is there something in the kernel that needs to be set since I have realised that in core 1 that the driver used was the standard vesa as the 9200 driver left the screen verry pale.
I hope some one can help
Thanks
Dave
