Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950 with Redhat Fedora 10

I have a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950 USB device. I am trying to use it under Redhat Fedora 10 with the 2.6.27.9-159.fc10.i686 kernel. According to the Huappauge website at http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/linux.html support for the device was added in the 2.6.26 kernel. I, however, have not gotten it to work. I start the Kaffeine player and get a screen that says
"Kaffeine-Xine" is OK,
"KDE found version 3.5.10-3.fc10 Fedora" is OK,
"No win32 codecs ...,"
"libdvdcss was not found ..."
"DVD drive ... can't check DMA mode..."
"DVB-device OK,"
"Distribution OK."

In the kaffeine player I try to scan for channels and don't find any. On the command line I get many messages that say

Not able to lock to the signal on the given frequency
Frontend closed
dvbsi: Cant tune DVB
Using DVB device 0:0 "Auvitek AU8522 QAM/8VSB Frontend"
tuning ATSC to 803028000
inv:2 mod:7

Does anyone know how I can get this device working? Thanks.

I found http://www.ciriac.com. This page is in French, but it can be translated to English with babelfish. I got as far as ./build.sh build. This command crashed. I then found http://fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=183491. After this, the kaffeine program found about 21 channels when I did a scan. Before, it didn't find any. However, when I click on one of the channels that it found I get a message saying that it could not find "kaxtv1.ts" in my home directory. I then found http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=573078 and http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=414652. Where do I get the codec for fedora? I plan to post this question in the software section.
