Smile Hardware recommendations for a video editing Desktop.

Hi!
I'm looking to build a atx form desktop computer for video editing or compiling programs, not gaming.
I would like to stay under the $1500 mark and I'm considering one of these processors.
-Core i7-13700K
-Core i7-12700K
I'm thinking that keeping a graphic processor off of the main CPU chip is a better idea for longevity but I really don't know.A dedicated everything is usually better.I would need a graphics card anyways for capacity.

For a main board I'm considering this.
-ASUS Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI
Found here

https://www.newegg.com/asus-pro-ws-w...-617-_-Product

It has a vga port, looks to have some room for additional cards and or future growth.

Thoughts, opinions and or recommendations are greatly appreciated.

it depends on those videos (resolution, ...), and on what do you want to change and probably on the video editing software too. But in general you would need the better CPU and a lot of RAM.
For compilation the GPU is more or less irrelevant, you can do that even without display.

if your needs are video editing and not games:

1) 260-280$
Code:
Core i7-12700K
Is very, very good cpu and value for money now. I have 12700h which is the laptop version of the same cpu and I can tell you its excellent.

2) 200$ (64gb)
Code:
Maximum Capacity	128 GB
Memory Support	DDR4 Up to 3200 MHz DDR5 Up to 4800 MHz
its up to you how much money will spent for ram...

3) also focus to a good power supply...

all the others are not so important for your needs and in the future you can upgrade them if something change...

I read in an article that the (on CPU chip graphics) and the graphics card would work together some how.
Or, the graphics card would not take over all of the duties.

How intensive is your work for video editing?

As others said, it will need CPU, Graphics and RAM.

There are graphics card now with, GPU. It's worth a try.

If you have an existing laptop or PC, add more RAM. And start from there.

If it's just video editing and not doing animation rendering on video, i7 with lots of RAM I guess will do.
