hardware error on startup

I am running suse 9.2 with KDE. While KDE is starting up I am getting this error.

Code:

Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'devices'.
.

I am guessing that this is talking about my cd-rw drive since it is the only slave device in my computer. Please correct me if I am wrong. If you think I am correct, pls help me out in fixing this error.

A quick search on Google turned this up. Other sites talking about io slaves in KDE seemed to imply that these "slaves" were bits of software related to the way KDE works (the control center for example). I don't think your problem is the CD drive.
