freeze every 5 mins


hey, i just installed a fresh copy of feisty 32bit on my asus z35f laptop, and now it freezes every 5 mins - for about 10 sec's, and then continues normally, i think it's somthing to do with the dvd because this is the "dmesg" output:

It seems to be a DMA problem. Enable DMA for your SATA hard drive and optical drive. If this does not work, than it is your power saving settings. You may want to set the governor to performance instead of power saving mode. If it is set to user mode then the scripts that monitor the usage of the computer need to be updated or use different set of monitor usage scripts. The BIOS could also be the problem because ASUS uses strange setup for the BIOS which can effect how Linux behaves.
