Failure Installation REDHAT ent 4 and FC4. Chipset problem


Hi there! My problem is next. Installation of RedHat enterprise 4 AS
fails because Linux can't found my SATA hard. Also, installation of
FC4 fails at booting process at Disk one. PC hanging between loading
after first boot screen (with BOOT string). Also I can read in booting
proccess, that I must sat "root=" parameter (what is that?). My
motherboard is Asus P5RD1-V, Chipset ULI M1573. Can somebody help me??
