eth0 and eth1 can't co-exist

Hi folks,

RH8.0
=====

There are 2 NICs installed in this box
eth1 connected to broadband via ADSL modem

eth2 for connection to another Linux box, at time of test no connection made.
IP 192.168.0.2
Mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.0.1

Booting the box dectected both NICs. Connection was made to broadband. But the box was completed cut off from Internet.

# ping -c 3 www.yahoo.com
no response.

After removing eth1 from network config (not physcal removal) the box can connect to Internet.

(Remark: I have physically removed eth0 to another slot with same result)

Kindly advise how to fix this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, typing mistake;

eth1 should be eth0
Dynamic IP (automatically obtaining IP address with dhcp)
ppp0

eth2 should be eth1
