Configuring the kernel to bootup a linksys wireless-G card how do you do that?
I got the ndiswrapper to read and setup the wlan0 device but , the kernel does not bootup the essid & key info needed for KANOTIX based on knoppix linux, KANOTIX is just better for harddrive install configured it with wavelan configure and netcardconfig but either of those loads it in the kernel on startup ? they seems like a simple question so why no answer to it yet?
their seems to be a lot of forums that talk about using iwconfig and ifconfig to configure it but no talk about DHCP on settings in knoppix which is req. for net access to router in knoppix or no talk about settings it up in a knoppix like settings for linux kernel bootup with wlan0 device ? Why...?
