Cannot get Intel WiFi 6 AX210 to work with Oracle Linux 5.4.17 kernel
I have Intel WiFi 6 AX210
The latest Oracle 8 rev 4 install with the latest 5.4.17-2102 kernel.
the machine does not have wifi at all, it does show up in lspci but cannot be enabled. Where do I get the driver for it? can the module work with the 5.4.17 kernel?
The same wifi 6 AX210 works just with Windows 10 so I know there is nothing wrong with the card.
Are Oracle Linux kernel versions compatible with "real" redhat kernel versions? I see kernel 5.4.17 but do not see such kernel in redhat/centos inventory. Seems like a modified kernel.
Of course Oracle are modified kernels, nearly noone ships a totally stock kernel.
As far as compatibility between Oracle & RH kernels, no clue, I've never used Oracle, but since it is a binary recompile of RH like CentOS is/was, it SHOULD be I'd think.

Point is, they don't have a 5.11 kernel that other flavors do.
Basically this card is not supported even with their latest-greatest.
Given the focus on servers, and servers not having wifi, this is not in the least bit surprising. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's to be expected. You could always "roll your own" until such a point as Oracle has one ready to go, then just download the firmware directly from Intel (99% likely their iwlwifi firmware doesn't have that card's support either).
