Browser based mesh router

I live in a large house and I currently use an older Linksys router + a three piece mesh system. The mesh router can only be administered through an app, something I wish I had known before I bought it, and it gives me a world of trouble every time I need to preform maintenance. I'm looking for a mesh system that can be administered through a web browser, web browser administration is a must, Linux/open source are a plus. Any suggestions?

I found this one: https://freemeshwireless.com/#pricing

but the wont reply to any of my inquires so I I'm afraid if I make a purchase I'll be sending my money into the ether and never receive a product.

Thanks.

Not really sure of what you are looking for, but most Asus routers are linux based.
If you are looking for a good mesh router i can recomend you the Asus RT-AC68U, thay have some newer models too that are not too expencive, relaible and stable.
these routers are possible to configure throught a easy to use webbinterface.
also possible to install dd-wrt on some of the modles if you want/prefer

Garrett85,

I have the slightly cheaper ASUS RT-AC66U_B1 (AC1750 Mbps) which also has AiMesh:

See attached screenshot.

Both the 68 and 66 are good quality routers.

The picture shows a phone being used to configure the router(s), but it can be administered via a web browser?

Garrett85,

I am pretty sure that you administer AiMesh via a browser.

These links may help:

https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1035087/

https://dongknows.com/asus-aimesh-overview/

Failing that, I suggest you contact ASUS for confirmation.

NB Both the username and password for the ASUS router should be changed from the defaults of admin.
