Brother HL-2240-R Stopped - Backend /usr/lib/cups/backend/usb does not exist!

This is about the only place in linux where I have found the 'm$ solution' (delete & reinstall) to be of any value.

Using http://localhost:631, try deleting the printer, and reinstalling it.

Go into Print Settings, open the printer's properties, and click 'Enable'. It's such a crazy error message!
