Avertv 203 doesn't work

Well, first of all, sorry about my english. It is not my native language.

Recently I have installed kubuntu dapper and i'm very happy with it but today i had tried to install my avermedia avertv203 tv capture, by installing kdetv and xawtv and it doesn't work and i have been looking at google but i hadn't find a good web to solve my problem.

I'd like someone explain me how to make it work or a web where i can read it. Thank u

Editing;

I have made it work with tvtime but i have no sound, it scans correctly al channels but i can't hear anything. I think i have all properly connected because i can hear the channels over windows xp, with the wires connected as i have them connected now. I have taken a look at tvtime config and at ubuntu's sound controllers but i can't get sound
