Mandriva 2005 -
Hi There - can anyone suggest a reliable ADSL cable/router for use in the UK. There are so many to choose from I am getting confused. Don't know much about networking but am willing to try. At present have Broad Band and a Thompson 330 USB modem.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

At work, I've tried a few brands. Tend to favour Netgear stuff - it's reliable and easy to set up. We've had trouble with LinkSys and Belkin, although in fairness to Belkin, much of the trouble has been down to poorly designed Windows drivers with their wireless stuff - the hardware is fine.

At home, I've got a cheapo ADSL router, Dynamode branded. It's been pretty good - very occasionally it drops the ADSL connection, nothing else to worry about.

Remember to buy a router with ADSL modem built-in; some of them are just routers!
