Adjusting the Mouse Sensitvity

Hey, newbie question.

I just installed Mandriva Free... and I can't seem to figure out how to adjust the mouse sensitivity. I want to slow it down and also turn off acceleration.

Everything else is working fine. I'm on an older Dell 4500 machine, with a Logitech MediaPlay mouse.

Thanks in advance!

Hello.

Are you using Gnome or KDE? In KDE, you can go to K -> Control Center -> Peripherals -> Mouse, Advanced tab.

In Gnome, (at least on Ubuntu) you can go to Administration -> Preferences -> Mouse, Motion tab.

I hope that helps.

Hey, I'm using KDE. However, there doesn't seem to be a Peripherals tab in the Control center (??) Is there any way to install that functionality?

Here's at least two different ways to get there.

1. KDE menu->System->Configuration->Configure your desktop->Peripherals->Mouse->Advanced Tab, then change the pointer acceleration.

2. KDE Menu->System->Configuration->KDE->Peripherals->Mouse->Advanced Tab, then change the pointer acceleration.

This should do it, being we're both using mandriva.
