Angry 3com EtherLink

This is my first post around here, but this place look pretty interesting and I believe its ideal to ask questions.

I am running Debain 3.0, or try to run it. My old network card was kind of stup1d and I dont think I would be able to configure it so I went and bought 3Com EtherLink 3c905C-TX-M. Then I went to the website of 3Com to download the drivers for it. I found the drivers pretty fast through windows and then burn them onto a cd, copy them to a linux directory and try to follow what I was suppose to do. My probelm is that I can't install lmy card due to the fact that the drivers that I have are not made to be run with this particular kernel. :'( I also tried to compile the code but no luck on that either, to many compiling errors.

Any suggestions on how to fix that?
Thank you!

I know 3com are well supported and this is why I bough one, because I just love 3com and their network cards. Could you tell me a bit more on how to find the kernel source documentation directory. I am a newb I thought, I knew linux sort of good, I guess it will take a lot of time to actually do so. But I still like it
Thanks for the help
