Angry >2TB fake RAID w/ CentOS 5.6

Wondering if someone can lend me a hand here.

Configuration as 3 X 1TB disk, making RAID 0 w/ adaptec uility on Supermicro Motherboard. During the installation, OS told me that the disk contained a GPT table which is bigger than 2.2TB. Thus, I wouldn't go further to complete the installation. This MB doesn't support UEFI, only lefacy BIOS w/ MBR for /boot. I then tried parted after googling. The capacity of the fake RAID is about 2.7TB. Actions taken as slicing the fake RAID as /dev/mapper/ddfxxxx into four partitions. 1st is for /boot at 64MB, 2nd is for / at 800GB, 3rd is for /home at 800GB, and the left is for swap. I also change the partition of /boot by mklabel to msdos...however, I still got problem....

Dear Jefro,

Thanks for your sharing.
1. No chance to go with any hardware RAID card for the commercial reason.
2. Supermicro's MB has two Fake RAID module as Intel & Adaptec.
3. The BIOS is legacy one which doesn't support GPT is unlike UEFI.
4. Will do some testing and upate later...

Adaptec usually is a real hardware raid controller. Why are you trying to make it into a fake raid?

See this for more on a GPT linux drive. A raid 0 would basically seem to the OS as a single drive.
