Which version of android and/or web browser works best with flash

Hey folks,

I am using Android 2.1 froyo. I also installed adobe flash player 10.2 from the Android Market place.

The default web browser on the tablet seems to crash when I it encounters flash that is multimedia like audio and video.

It's funny how flash works great with linux distributions and not well in android.

Does anyone know which version of android and/or web browser works best with flash so the crashes are minimal.

First, Android 2.2 is Froyo, while Android 2.1 is Eclair. Flash requires 2.2 Froyo. Flash works well on my tablet (an Archos 101, Android 2.2.1). Make sure you have the latest updates for your device.

Also, as always, Flash is a resource pig. If the Android device runs out of memory, the browser will crash (be killed by the OS). Minimize your use of widgets, active wallpaper, and other memory hogging utilities if you want to use Flash. If you use an alternative launcher, make sure you have it set to minimize storage use.

I guess I have to wait until they have an upgrade for 2.2. Of course, I could root it, but I heard that sometimes things can go wrong
