Using windows high speed to download linux update files?

Hello,
I have a very slow dial up connection but I have friends with high-speed internet - all running windows. I am wondering if anyone has a good suggestion on how to use the windows high speed to download linux files and then I can burn a cd and bring them home. I guess I could make a list by using kpackage and then download the files induvidually, but I am wondering if there is another solution I haven't heard of. To get a list from kpackage I tell it to install while I'm offline and it fails but gives me a list of failed files, then I copy the list to kwrite. Thanks.
I'm running Mepis, (Debian, Etch)

Isn't it easyest way to take your computer to your friends place and lend his/her internet connection? :-)
I think burning packages to cd could cause problems to install because of depencies.

Thanks, tbz, I could take my box to their house that's an option. To overcome the dependencies problem, I get kpackage to install while offline and it tries to connect to the repository, it can't fetch the files of course but it then gives a complete list of what it tried to fetch - including the dependencies. That's the list I can take to the friends place. Maybe taking my box there is better I just have to figure out setting up high-speed and lug the whole works into town.

Burning a CD with the right files shouldn't be a problem at all.

A file is a file is a file, regardless of what OS tries to look at it (we won't get into FTP binary/ascii transfers).

Download and burn, they can give you the CD.
