user for sendmail

I had to create an smmsp user for sendmail, but now it shows as one of the users on the main login screen. How do I create a user that doesn't show up on the login screen? Distrobution: Caldera OpenLinux 2.4

it should have a UID and GID of less than 100. I don't know why you want that user tho, i don't need one for my sendmail

this is how they suggest you set up the newer versions of sendmail. I'm not exactly sure why but they suggest that you set up a number of folders under group smmsp and the /var/spool/clientmqueue directory with user smmsp and group smmsp. I'm not exactly sure what this is for, I just followed the directions. It's suppost to make the setup more secure somehow.
