Tails problems

Hi everyone not sure if this is the correct place but I'm having trouble with tails os,

I've downloaded it and it works fine on the livecd/usb apart from the web browser says the proxy is not accepting connections so I'm not able to browse atm also when I try and clone and install onto another usb it installs in fine but when I reboot and remove the original usb it tries to load kernel but hangs after the blue progress bar gets the end, it works if I leave both usb sticks in however but I don't think that's ment to happen??

Am I able to use the live usb to browse and if I wanna save anything can I download then save to another blank usb or is that only possible running under a vm

Tails is for the paranoid, or criminally minded. The vm approach is not good, as a vm simply passes network requests to the main box. If you have it on usb there's no need for a vm anyhow. Tails wants to control everything going out to make sure it goes through Tor - hence the 'i' in tails.
