syslogd in busybox

The syslogd in busybox seems to ignore syslog.conf. My question is how does the syslog then routes the logged data?

did you do killall -HUP syslog to restart the daemon with the new conf file.

Also are you editing the right conf file, wich should be /etc/syslogd.conf (at least on fbsd it is)
