switching desktops


Hi,
I'm very much of a console person,so i've never bothered myself with gui.But I installed kde and gnome the other day.Can someone suggest me on switching my default window manager from gnome to kde.Just what should i configure.

Hi Mr.,
Probably, depending on your distribution, the file to change your desktop is /etc/sysconfig/desktop.

just to clairfy, kde and gnome are not windows managers, they are desktop environments

the use window managers, gnome i believe is a bit more relaxed and lets you pick what window manager you want to use
