Perhaps a trivial question, but according to this manual, the device allows logins for a common user and a super user. Are you using the super user login when attempting the changes?

there are 4 levels: user, admin, support and mfg. For the web interface I was able to connect with user and admin. With admin they were also grey out and only one extra option (/Service/Accounts).
The other 2 levels, I think, are for the CLI connections. However I could not login with mfg.
If you cannot get the device to behave as described in the Manual under the section Management -> Access Control and you are sure you are running the latest firmware, then it might be time to request a replacement device.

firmware updated last week to the latest (2.6.2.7)
The following user names are assigned specific rights:
- "admin" has unrestricted access
- "support" has general access rights plus additional rights to perform maintenance tasks and run diagnostics.
- "user" can view settings and statistics and update the firmware
Apparently the "user" can update firmware, but only the "admin" can change settings.
Is the Access Control Mode set to Disable? If set to Enable, can you add your PC's IP address?
