Recompile kernel 2.6

i have read some where that if i want to recompile kernel 2.6 all i have to do is :

cd /usr/src/linux

make menuconfig

make all

make modules_install

make install

is that all ??
i am using mandrake 10 and grub instead of lilo
so could anybody verify this or i am missing something ?

actually for 2.6 kernels even less than that

make menuconfig
make && make modules_install

or you can use

Code:

make gconfig

or 

make xconfig

instead, makes it easier to read the explinations of all the options imo
