Talking

I currently have a personal FTP setup with Windows 2000 using G6FTP and Dynip.com. As a newbie, I am lost as to how I can move from Windows to Linux. I currently have Mandrake 8 installed and would love to ditch Windows.

Any site or expert that can help me?

Need a bit more info to help

Hi, I would like to help you but I don't know exactly what you want to know. But, here I'll throw a few pointers.
First of all, you are getting somewhere by installing Linux. Redhat is a good place to start too. I suggest keeping Windows for now until you are comfortable in Linux. Just when you have time to play around with it, go into Linux and try to do things that you often do in Windows. You may find things to do in Linux that you don't do in Windows
And if you want to have ftp on your computer, even easier with Linux than Windows because it is already there, you just have to find the place to set access information and usernames/passwords (I don't have Redhat so I can't tell you where that is).
And yes, there are many web sites out there that can help you. But I don't know what you are looking for so I don't know any URLs to tell you. You can probably find some that would be helpful by just guessing URLs based on what you know (a lot of Linux web sites are .org, not .com). And then from the ones you happen to find, there are probably links to other sites also.
Good Luck!
