Arrow NEW USER HELPFUL guide to kneon - here are a few helpful things a new user would wish for

the example used here is kneon but there are other basic things that are helpful in other examples

kneon doesnt seem like it is able easiely do basic things in chrome

1-line summary

--

but it is unclear, unknown if kneon does basic Web things such as:

* being able to watch html5 videos that is on youtube which pretty much everyone uses

* or being able to do basic things in chrome (do you know?)

note: ofc you knowing something is based one 1) you having a lot and tons of personal experienced with something 2) or you have a reliable very very good source/link

downloading chrome is not simple or easy

* you actually need an external tut/resource to do so

* i believe in mayeb a few popular linuxes you can just

1. google 'download chrome'
2. and with do it the normal way of ~2 clicks and then you're done

12.17 https://tutorialforlinux.com/2017/12...install-guide/

--

other notes:

kneon doesnt have 'extra' things you need

6.17
https://ajreissig.com/kde-neon-2017-review/

kneon doesnt have 'extra' things like commerical drivers

9.17
http://www.linuxandubuntu.com/home/k...-distro-review

--

so again, the 1-line summary was

kneon doesnt seem like it is able easiely do basic things in chrome

--

why make this?

* there are no helpful guides on this entire Web for many many things

* & helpful things are good to make so i thought i make a small one

* there are no guides with all the helpful things on using kneon

* so it's good to make one

* there are no guides with all the helpful things on how to make the decision of using kneon or not

* so it's good to make one

question: if you know of anything helpful, please explain how exactly it helps new users

--

kneon seems to have less bugs when it comes to be ing stable than kubu but this is 1) outdated info & its from a 2) very unreliable site/source

5.17
* reddit. com/r/linux/comments/6eu6ij/thoughts_between_kde_neon_and_kubuntu/
* reddit. com/r/linux/comments/6eu6ij/thoughts_between_kde_neon_and_kubuntu/

--

other notes:

extremely technical that is has 99% chance of not being relevant

1.18 travnewmatic. com/index.php/2018/01/25/kde-neon-on-zfs/

--

what was this about?

of course this was about how to choose a linux

the example used here is kneon but there are other basic things that are helpful in other examples

how to choose a linux is in a stage that is pretty advanced

and far ahead of more basic stages before this point/stage

there would also need to be guides / steps for the earlier basic stages, which the experience users already know about

there just arent any good guides / steps

nobody has made them yet (or there's very very few good ones in 2018)

--

question: if you know of anything helpful, please show (possibly via gifs) how exactly it helps new users

kneon is a company: KDE Neon is an Ubuntu derivative.

Such as what? And KDE Neon is an operating system/DE....it has nothing to do with a Chrome web browser.

Again, Chrome is a web browser...it will behave on KDE Neon the EXACT SAME WAY as it does on Ubuntu, Mint, Fedora, or any other Linux.

You need to spell correctly, and stop using text-speak. In ANY version of Linux, it will probably take less than two minutes to find the instructions on how to install Chrome. It just plain isn't hard, and there is no need for an 'external tut' for anything

And again your one line summary is totally incorrect.

There are MANY helpful guides on the web to do most everything. This 'guide' isn't of much use to anyone, since you reference a product that's not even real (calling it kneon is NOT going to help someone who is looking for KDE Neon), saying that somehow a program is harder to install/won't work correctly on it is totally incorrect.

So why post those?

How so? You mention ONE distro, not any others, confuse anyone who came here by calling it a different name, you haven't compared it to any other distros, and keep confusing folks by saying that (somehow) a web-browser does different things.

This is totally wrong. EVERY DISTRO has very clear installation instructions, and thousands of easily-found guides. Which distro doesn't???

GIFS???? For what, exactly??

I was. You were not. Your 'guide' was for a product/distro that DOES NOT EXIST, and wasn't a 'guide' at all.

Those guides exist. Nothing you've posted is helpful to a new user, and would only confuse them.

Please don't post spam and garbage, as you have.

No need to, since they exist for every distro already. EVERY SINGLE DISTRO, even Kali, has a how-to guide for installation.

I think it was a way of saying to the OP, "If you'd like to babble incoherently, please start a blog".
