I am trying out Alpine and likely switching one of my Linux machines to it, but am having an annoying issue I need some help fixing. The install is being done to a test laptop and went awesome. I followed this:
https://wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/Install_to_disk and it went smooth. Network worked and everyting installed just fine. When I rebooted network wasn't working, I have installed systems that didn't save over wpa stuff before so I went to set it up with wpa_supplicant.
Code:
wpa_passphrase MYSSID PASSPHRASE # went just fine
wpa_supplicant -B -i wlan0 -c <(wpa_passphrase MYSSID PASSPHRASE) # keeps returning this error:
-ash: syntax error: unexpected "("
I am really wanting to try out alpine, I mean it uses ash and doesn't have much in it by default (less than gentoo even!). Anyone know why this is happening? Thank you!

looks like I pulled a giraffe!
