Mutex Destroy Failure / ICE default IO error

I get this constant message on the shell. It's usually followed by this:

"Mutex destroy failure: Device or resource busy. "

"ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 1953, errno = 2 . "

I have not the slightest clue as to where I should even start on this because "dmesg" gives no hints. Rebooting did not help (not that I thought it would). none of the log files produce any help at all.

Please help

Slappy
