Mouse and keyboard problem when X starts!

Hello ppl, I'm having a weird problem. I was playing enemy-territory when my mouse stopped working... I rebooted my machine and after that, when gdm comes, my mouse and keyboard are dead! It never happened before... I have also tried to change runlevel and do a "startx"... Gnome appeared but my mouse and keyboard still doesn't work. I also noticed that the Nvidia screen (when X starts) is taking too much time... any clues!?? Please help, I'm desperate!

What kind of mouse/keyboard, usb, PS/2, etc? Have you made any changes recently to your machine, new kernel, etc?
