mounting flash drive


hello all . i am having a problem mounting my flash drive. and i really need to retrieve some documents from it.
hoping to get some solutons soon. peace.

i installed linux recently. i still have windows runnin on anoda partition. from the hardware browser i cant even see my device name.
so i dont know wat to use in the /mnt/device_name, perhaps i am even going bout it wrongly. so some help is really needed at this point.

Open a terminal and run "dmesg" (without quotes). Post the end of it here (all the stuff that relates to USB).

usb-uhci.c: v1.275: usb universal host controller interface driver
hub.c: usb hub found
hub.c : 8 ports detected
usb.c: registered new driver hiddev
usb.c: registerd new driver hid
this is all that follows after runnin the dmesg command.

That says nothing about your device. Did you run dmesg after plugging it in?
