Question Lunduke - Linux Foundation now spends only 2% of their revenue on Linux

Bryan Lunduke has gone over the Linux Foundation 2023 annual report and has noticed that it now spends only 2% of their revenue on Linux, all while bringing in a quarter of a million dollars in revenue.

The LF Report for 2023, which self reports metadata "Creator Tool: Adobe InDesign 19.0 (Windows)", is available for download and weighs in at 160 pages but with a lot stock photos and white space padding.

(Edit: hint: page 158)

(Edit2:

Down to ~ 2% from ~ 3.2% the year before.)

The foundation used to fund development of Linux as it's sole purpose. How things have changed.

"Featured Projects":

https://www.linuxfoundation.org/projects

Linux is listed last. Simply put, the kernel is now mostly developed directly by developers on the payroll of those "Big Tech" corporations, which staff the foundation.

Pick a random one: "FINOS"

Platinum donor: GitHub (Microsoft)

Another one: OpenSSF
