Linux OS and kernel versions

I need a quick answer on this one. Homework, actually, but haven't found any answer...

which Linux OS, and its version, use the following kernels: 2.4.x and 2.6.x

Linux OS options: SUSE, Mandrake and Red Hat...

UPDATE: what I've found so far is that SUSE uses 2.6.x and Mandrake and Red Hat uses 2.4.x

the question now is, which version of those OS uses those series of kernel...

Why not go to the websites for those distributions and find out?

That is very good advice. The websites will give you all the info you need. I would also like to point you at this:

First, I've been checking the distros sites... no luck... checked documentation, send emails... nada...

second, believe me, this was my last option... never thought I was going to ask this here... sorry if this has bothered some...

Here's a hint because I'm nice: this question is meaningless - all distros use the 2.4 and 2.6 kernel.

But, regardless, I'm closing this thread.
